Award for Birmingham company just months after its’ inception

A Birmingham technology company is celebrating after securing recognition as an official Autodesk Digital Manufacturing partner making it one of only a handful of businesses in the UK licensed for CAM specialisation.

Premiership Solutions – a new company based in the Digbeth creative sector and fully staffed by former Autodesk employees – is now authorised to supply and support the Autodesk specialised CAM product range – PowerMill, FeatureCAM, PowerInspect, PowerShape, Netfabb, Moldflow and Fusion 360 – used in the manufacturing industry.

San Francisco based Autodesk is a global leader in computer-aided manufacturing technology and originally acquired Delcam because of its’ specialised CAM products. The business only rewards companies with recognition if they can demonstrate proficiency in selling, servicing, consulting and training in the use of its’ products.

This makes it a coup for Premiership Solutions – a company itself only formed a few months ago – underlining its’ competency in working with the software used in the manufacturer of many of the items we use every day from planes to cars, buildings and products.

The technology is also used in the medical and oil and gas industries.

Computer-aided manufacturing software enables a design to be created, manufactured, and then inspected ensuring the finished item meets specification and avoiding the risk of items being made incorrectly and then having to be remade.

Justin Barnes, Head of Advanced Manufacturing Solutions at Premiership and a former Autodesk and Delcam employee, said:

“It is a great privilege to achieve and be accredited with Autodesk CAM specialisation as they really are at the forefront of manufacturing technologies.

“This award recognises our ability in handling the product but more importantly the fact that we are one of very few companies in the UK who can provide training solutions alongside the sale of the Autodesk products.

Mark Corrigan, Autodesk account manager for EMEA Territory Sales, said:

“We are delighted to support the team and the strides they are making in what is a very specialised industry.

“Not everyone receives this specialist award so it highlights Premiership Solutions’ competency in handling Autodesk products and services.”
